The D850 Portable Desiccant Dehumidifier can be utilized for midsize to large residential or small to midsize commercial jobs. It is also ideal for drying dense materials such as brick, concrete, hardwoods, and plaster. The machine can move roughly 850 cubic feet of air per minute through it - removing about 370 pints of moisture per day. Desiccants work by passing air through a rotating wheel of silica gel that absorbs moisture. Since there is no actual water produced during the process it can perform well when used in cooler temperatures, unlike our refrigerant dehumidifiers. The 850 cubic feet per minute (CFM) is over double the amount of air that our current desiccants can provide, so this is a great addition to our inventory.
